Clean, cozy, and charming! Mt. Gardner Inn had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I loved the thoughtful touches like free DVD rentals and board games — such a cute and homey vibe. Highly recommend if you're looking for a peaceful place to stay near the North Cascades.
Had an amazing stay at Mt. Gardner Inn with my family for a girls trip exploring Washington. Winthrop was very cute and I love that is close to the National Park. The room was very clean, and very adorable ( gave vibes of the ADK back in NY). The room was stocked with coffee, mini fridge, towels, microwave, plenty of charging ports/outlets. Soap for showering. A few suggestions would be to get a new guest note book for the partridge room ( I loved reading the old reviews but wanted to leave a note myself!) Fully enclosed mattress protectors would have made this place the perfect spot. A few extra pillows of different thickness in the room. 10/10 will stay here agin if I ever make it back!
Well appointed, clean and comfortable room in a good location within walking distance of downtown Winthrop! Came here to celebrate our anniversary and found a bottle of bubbly in our room -- a nice touch!
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay in the Raven Ridge (A) room. From check-in to check-out, i cant find a single thing that i would change or suggest. The room was welcoming, the amenities were more that satisfactory. Being able to wake up with the gorgeous views of the snow covered mountains as the fireplace is glowing or to sit on the balcony with a glass of wine is something i will look forward to enjoying again
Loved staying at the Mt. Gardner Inn. A friend and I stayed in a double guest room on the ground floor and it was perfect for the weekend. Room included; mini fridge, shampoo/conditioner/ toiletries, coffee, white noise machine, and hangars for clothing. The beds were extremely comfortable and we had a mini split to address heating and cooling needs. The inn offers several room/suite options. It was self check in and check out was easy. There is a common area with plenty of extras for you to help yourself to including; boardgames, ice, dinnerware, books, DVDs, blankets, toasters, etc. Plenty of parking and it is within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.
A gem on the outskirts of the North Cascades! Our room was extremely clean and comfortable. Easy checkin/checkout. Friendly owners. Great outdoor spaces to relax and play cards. Deer walking by! Winthrop is a cute town with good food. Perfect stay.
This is definitely a 5 Star winner in the 3 Star category. A small, family run "Inn" of the finest tradition, Mt. Gardner Inn is friendly, comfortable and carefully appointed in every way. Check in had been pre-arranged so there would be no delays. The room was meticulously cleaned and lights were set on in a welcoming manner. I had one of the bigger suites and it was plenty spacious and comfortable. WiFi was great. TV worked great. Plenty of ice available for the asking. Coffee service was complete and tasty. For our non-local and / or International visitors I point out this is a "3 star category" hotel because these are small towns and they don't build Ritz Carlton's up in the mountains. This Inn, run by Greg & Alison, is an owner operated enterprise and the personal pride and care shows in every way. EVERYTHING IS CLEAN! (a big one for me) Furnishings, accent pillows, lamps, paintings and nick knacks are all thoughtful and pleasing. In the kitchen the silverware, cookware and crockery were all first rate, and this is an area where many "condo" type accommodations fall short by just throwing in whatever they picked up at the garage sale. Lots of attention to detail here and that's all a compliment to Alison and Greg. Alison helped me untangle a little confusion OF MY OWN MAKING with one of the local vendors. Very much appreciated. Winthrop is every bit the cute little Western Town that it advertises itself to be. If you love FABULOUS mountain scenery, nice folks and fair friendly service... I think you'll TRULY enjoy Winthrop and the Mt. Gardner Inn. (We'll be back!)
Reviews were great so we booked it. I honestly didn't have huge expectations but it was so nice! Quiet, big huge room, big bathroom and overall super clean. We only stayed the one night but wish we had stayed two because Winthrop was such a cool town to stay in before we drove through Cascades. Definitely book it, stay an extra nigh and explore the beautiful valley running south. Surprised us for sure!
